Life here in Honduras continues to provide many exciting adventures and stretching challenges. After a delightful two and half week excursion to Toronto and vicinity over Christmas I find myself back in the oddly normal routine of life in Honduras. I am convinced that this may be one of the most stretching years of my life as I have had plenty to learn, especially as it pertains to teaching junior high. I do know that God has been using this time to teach me plenty and hopefully develop me into who he wishes me to be.
Things are going well here and I have plenty to keep me busy and out of trouble. For more descriptions, photos and thoughts, be sure to check out my blog, add it to your favorites, and comment often! http://thejourneywetake.blogspot.com/
Items for prayer:
Praises:
Becoming more comfortable with the role of teaching, though still very aware that I have much to learn
A rather miraculous change in the behavior of my seventh grade class over the week (and pray that this lasts!!!). They really are like different students after a meeting with their parents and teachers
I have been adjusting to life here and really am enjoying my time here, though teaching can still be a challenge and I do miss people in North America… like you!!
Requests:
Pursuing God first in my life
Enjoying teaching and knowing how to best engage the minds of my students
Hearing back from grad schools and direction for what is in store for me next year
Physical health for me and housemates – random spouts of illness abound. Don't worry mom, I'm doing alright!
Also, remember that real friends send Noel mail!

Fun with friends in Toronto.
