Safe and sound

Well I made it here to wonderful Taichung, Taiwan after approximately 30.5 hours in transit. While the jet-lag is a little less than wonderful, so far, things have been great. Any time I travel overseas I'm always struck by how odd things are not! Life here is actually, surprisingly, pretty normal feeling... except it's all in Chinese... so exactly like Markham (town where I grew up which has a very strong Chinese population).

Right now I'm at Morrison Academy and the folks here have been terrific hosts. They've taken great care of me so far and I hope to make some great connections with the students.

Um, I can think of a few differences between Taichung and Markham. ;-)
Glad you're there! Eat lots and lots and lots of good food for me! And get someone to take you to a nightmarket.

Ahhh! I keep coming up with more things to tell you to do while you're there.
