This is the Barj al Arab. The flagship hotel of the Dubai empire. It's a beautiful hotel (though not a 7-star as rumored... it's only a five star). It is however closed to all people except hotel guests.
And this is the from the inside of the hotel looking up.
I was told that 80 percent of the world's cranes are located in Dubai. EIGHTY PERCENT!! I can't even imagine that... but I can believe it after being there and seeing scenes like this one.
