What are you doing?

I'm in Cairo, Egypt right now. I'm doing a mix of things such as:

  • I'm teaching English to Sudanese refugees (it's funny the image I have of "refugees"... it never occurred to me that there actually real people)
  • Studying Arabic (not only new words... new written characters too!)
  • Helping with an English-speaking Egyptian church
  • Getting involved with a teacher training for teachers at schools for Sudanese refugees
  • Spending time hanging out with people in "Garbage City"
  • Enjoying Cairo... one of the most densely populated and polluted cities in the world... but a fascinating place nonetheless
